About Me
Hi, I’m Joydeep Roy. I work in pharmaceutical marketing — but if you ask me what really drives me, it’s storytelling.
I didn’t plan it this way. I started out as a medical rep, just trying to hit targets and understand the field. But over time, I moved through different roles — product management, training, SFE, digital marketing, even pharma exports. What stayed constant? My curiosity. My need to simplify. And my belief that science can be powerful when it’s told right.
The Med Storyteller is my little corner of the internet — not a business, not a freelance gig — just a space where I share what I’ve picked up over the years. Things I’ve tried. Things that worked. Things that didn’t. It’s all about helping people like me — reps, brand managers, marketers — navigate pharma in a way that’s a little more human.

Where I Come From
I’m from Kolkata, India, and studied Pharmaceutical Technology at Jadavpur University. Later on, I added a PGDM in Marketing, and did a post-grad certification at MICA in Digital Marketing & Content Management — because I wanted to learn not just how to sell a drug, but how to build a story around it.
Now, I live and work in Kenya, it’s been a ride — full of learning, trial, error, and a lot of coffee.
If any of this speaks to you, welcome aboard. This space is for all of us trying to make pharma a little more meaningful — and maybe even a little more fun.
